Scorching Heat in Jahra
On Monday, June 16, 2025, the Jahra meteorological station recorded an extraordinary high of 52 °C, marking it among the hottest temperatures ever recorded in Kuwait and highlighting the severity of the ongoing heatwave .
Other areas were hit nearly as hard — Abdali reached 51 °C, while Kuwait City, Wafra, and Jal Al-Layah each recorded around 50 °C .
The intense heat is driven by a regional seasonal low-pressure system, and authorities have issued public advisories urging residents to conserve power, avoid outdoor exposure during peak hours, stay hydrated, and stay safe.
